What else am i going to need? cam sprockets? a ECU? Wiring harness? Do i buy an STI clutch or a WRX clutch?

use your stock cam sprockets(everything is the same size) you can use your stock wrx ecu with a tune, and harness, and a clutch for the tranny that you will be running,, 5speed or 6 speed.

Okay thats all useful. At the bottom of that webpage it says that you need to have your ECU tuned. should i have that done before i finish my build or after. Im pretty sure i can do it after because im going to need to break in the new shortblock for around 3000 miles. Is it even possible to have my ECU tuned without having it plugged into the car. Sorry if these questions are all newbish. Its my first time doing this stuff.

Thanks for alll your help
John

Talk to your tuner and have them put a break in tune on it after it is built. The car will start with the stock ecu. Don't drive around giving it any boost until you get it tuned... or until it's broken in for that matter Drive on that for about 1k miles then get dyno tuned.

The stock ECU will run the car just fine for around town driving. I wouldn't romp on it too much though. I've got on it a few times with no problems, but you can tell it needs a tune. Got 1,000 miles on mine so far with no issues. I'm going to go back to the valet map just to be safe until I can get a tune.
