Member= Rurso01 asks a question
Member= Suspect responds swearing there is nothing wrong with that. And admits he is a tech at a dealership in anchorage for subaru.

What will really happen? Will putting a BOV on a stock WRX be harmful?

um. sorry, but i know all the techs that work at the dealer in anchorage. i do not know this "suspect" who does NOT work for Continental Subaru. Probably one of the other shops and he thinks he works on them.

Just letting you guys know.

I wouldn't let that kid touch my car. Even if he was wiping dust off of it.

like i said, most of us here know ALL the techs. we see them on an almost daily basis. my husband is also a member here and also works in service. i know each one of the guys back there who work on my car and if they are members on nasioc, their usernames too.

and he does not say he works at the dealership, but is a Subaru Tech (so he claims) in Anchorage. he could work at a different non-subaru shop that specializes in Subaru's (I have a feeling i know which shop and yes, there are a few members that work there).

ah... so perhaps mildly subaru experienced but hardly subaru trained or certified...

anyone with BOV questions needs to read Unibomber's Manifestos... or what ever he calls those. Every new member should be required to lol. a great read.

you guys are all whack, the 02 bov had issues with it for the turbo was too small and not producing the boost necessary for proper flangation of the input tubular modulation...sheesh...who needs scooby techs when you have ignorance? Because not even the techs know about interior vacuum boost modulation...but if you ask me, its a bunch of mumbo

maybe someone should change the title of this to "shop in anchorage" since we know the guy doesn't work at the dealership.

Isn't the stock "BOV" a BPV (recirculating back into the intake rather then venting it into the atmosphere)?
