07 STI - catless, intake, EWG

Mods: K&N Typhoon, Crucial Racing Downpipe and Midpipe, Borla Hush, Hallman MBC, Ultimate Racing Uppipe w/ Tial 38mm EWG, Walbro Fuel Pump.

California 91 Octane, 88F ambient temp. Tuned with AP V2.

For reference, stock STI's put down 215-220whp and 275whp is good for 107-108mph traps.

This car turned out very well. We actually hit 280whp+ on a couple pulls but decided to pull it back just a bit. The car is very smooth, extremely responsive, has tons of torque and maintains power well to redline. The VF42 combined with the EWG really flows some air but we need more octane to take advantage of it.

woohooo look at that early torque...what a nice and smooth graph, i haven't seen any other tuner be able to make the vf39/42 level off until redline...you're the man

ED, what is the mbc naturally tapering too up top from peak boost?

The car is running a peak of 20psi and tapering off to just under 16psi by redline.

Its running 10.5-10.6:1 under full boost... gotta love cali 91

Main reason is I have basically the same stuff done w/ a little extra.

This car has an MBC, so no solenoids. I would deffinately recommend upgrading to a 3-port solenoid or an MBC to take full advantage of your mods.

get better gas lol...I just made 313whp/312wtq with a tbe fuelpump and accessport on my07 on 93octane.Are you going to do a racegas tune?I was thinking of getting an EWG uppipe just to be obnoxious lol.

What dyno were you on and what does a stock STI put down on it? I can pretty much guarantee your car won't make 313whp on this dyno even on 93

.

I don't think the customer is planning on a 100 octane tune any time soon. He's very happy with how quick the car is.

it was japtrix mustang dyno I honestly dont know what a stock sti puts down on their dyno.I can imagine that car is rediculous tho.I didnt mean to be rude or anything I was just saying it would have been a sick car if you could use 93 there.

No doubt it would be much better on 93 and even better yet on some 100

.

These cars just love octane and sometimes I'm amazed with the results we're able to get on the piss we get here.

Most of the gains are in the form of response. Its also good for about 4-5whp especially when you start pushing the turbo on higher octane.

lets see it on the track

so far this wat sti does on eds numbers on the track

this off 04 05 06 sti gears (stock turbo)
277whp 107 - 108mph trap speed best of 12.5 - 12.6
295whp 110mph trap speed 12.3 - 12.4
312whp 112 mph 12.2 12.1
337whp 115 - 117mph with 11.7 best

as you can tell these numbers are very low on dyno wise
but on the track they are also very low numbers

Hi, this is my car that was posted up. I actually WILL be using 93 octane once I take the car to Texas in about 2 weeks
