hey fellas,
about to up grade my 04wrx brakes and get a set of 05 brembo calipers + OEM Sti rotors at about 10k. this guy custom paints them and we set a price at 1200$CA for all 4. http://www.flickr.com/photos/dweeboid/ they look pretty nice ![]() just gotta decide on color scheme to go with my ride. BLK w/RED type or BLK w/WHITE type......ahhhhhh, it's a toss up ![]() anyhow, my post is in regards to; I got P1's on my wagon at this point, I know that they will not clear brembos, therefore my solution is to get some spacers to widen the offset. What I don't know, and should have asked earlier is; Disadvantages with spacers?! I would hate to spend money+time only to realize they are terrible for whatever reason. ![]() what do you guys think?

It all depends what sized spacers you want to run. 5mm, 15mm, 25mm? If you search the forums, they say anything at or over 15mm is overkill and will cause alot of undue stress on your suspension.
Personally, I've run 15mm spacers on my Miata and had no problems. And almost everybody never has problems. I don't know what size you would need though. Perhaps a test-fit would be most appropriate. |

cool sounds good. I'll dig around/research to see what size spacers I'll need to clear P1 over brembos.
~Fukamoto, I'll take your advice, only run what i need for clearance, or no more than 15mm. ~Toby, where did get your spacers from? any particular make I should look into, or are they all the same? thanks fellas, |

I have seen some hanging up at Volco tire in Coquitlam, but not sure what sizes/thickness they cover.
