Default Anybody know anything about the M-Coupe?

Saw this one today. Beautiful car. Accidently hit my gf in the nose with the camera taking the pic

I never seem to hear anything about these cars anywhere. Why are they so unsung?

That's perhaps my favorite "M"

I love the styling, but they are rare to see on the road because I guess they didn't sell all that well (most rich american people don't dig hatchbacks i guess).

iirc 333hp I-6? Or was it the 240hp variant?

I just looked on autotrader and there is a 2000 model w/ 40k miles for $15k. Hmm.... I need to pay this ****ing house off so I can get a weekend car.

I could always ditch the GTI and pick up a 2000 Legacy wagon as a DD and get the M. Yes, this is a good plan.

The old one is pretty neat. I remember sitting in a new one back in the day and thinking it was the end-all-be-all of performance cars. Guess we all grow up some. I gather the rear suspension is an old style from the E30 (or E21?). Maybe not quite, but the Z4 is a lot more advanced.

Good luck getting a loan for a 7-year old car
Somebody REALLY needs to start a lending service that will lend for older vehicles without charging you an insane "personal loan" interest rate. Or is there one of those already?

Getting sidetracked here, but what kind of interest can you get on a personal loan if you actually have collateral (like a house, for example)?

IIRC, the 2000 models have the e36 M3 s52 motor, which puts out 240 horse. It was not until 2001 that they put the s54 from the e46 into the M coupe.
