Default What to do what to do what to do...

Ok so I have a set of Racing Hart CP Tune R 18x8.5 wrapped in Toyo T-1R's. Question I have is that I bought the car from another NASIOC member and when the car was shipped out one wheel was curb rashed(front passenger) and the mirror was scraped and the shipping company had a legal "out" if you will. Well Just the other day I wasn't paying attention and curb rashed another wheel(rear passenger). This past January I hit a pothole and bent my front driverside wheel. Well I got that fixed but they took off the screen stuff, that has the company name, off and all the identification except for the engraving on the inside of rim. I only have the rear drivers side left entirely intact. My question is, since this is a show car what are the best options I have? I don't really have that much money for any new rims, I only have about 500-600 dollars of useable cash. And that would leave me pretty poor off. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Matt

I'm sorry, I don't understand your question. Are you looking for advice on fixing your wheels?

I think the real question is "Why do I have some Racing Harts if i'm not going to pay enough attention as to not curb rash them?"

Look up your local alloy rim repair place... usually costs about $80-100 per rim to make them look like new, good luck man.

I would just call up a local wheel repair shop and see what they can do for you. If they can fix them it will probably take most of that cash. Those places generally want around $100-$125 per wheel. You gotta be careful driving show cars around. Got any pics BTW?

Default Check here...

Check with a local dealership. They have all sorts of vendors that recondition their used cars. Call a couple of service departments and see who they use. You can go on the lots and see the vendors work prior to dropping your cash. If you are walking a used inventory and you don't see any damaged wheels, you just might have found your guy...

Sorry I've been away for a while. Comcasts internet is down. I am asking what would you guys do? I don't know whether to just sell them off cheap or whether to try and fix them...? My problem is that the company I sent them to last time took all identification off the wheel except on the inside where RacingHart is stamped in the metal! I was upset to say the least.

geist- I do take EXTREME care to not curbrash these wheels and trust me I got everybody within two city blocks to turn their heads when I saw what happened. I just couldn't see the curb from the drivers seat and I thought I had turned past it but I guess not.

Thanks for the opinions guys, keep 'em coming.

Matt
