Default fuel smell @ WOT

sup guys, heres a little prob i got, hope you all can help me once again.

when i go WOT my car reeks of fuel. not that fuel smells that bad but the scent is really strong. FWIW im currently running hydra V2.17
i datalogged and my car seems to run rich in between shifts but the smell starts somewhere around 4k RPM's. heres a link to DL my datalog. http://www.speedyshare.com/290651608.html

anyone else experience this at some point?

I don't think that's a tuning issue but more likely when your fuel pressure ramps up due to peak boost around 4k rpm you have a fuel leak. Check your fuel pressure regulator, your lines, and most importantly your fuel injector seals. You can loose a cylinder if you have a fuel leak at the fuel rail.

^^^ even this noOb has seen engines/pistons from this circumstance.

isn't it amazing how many issues can be at least partially attributed to mechanical stuff...???

no wonder you protuners tell us to double-check our engines/vacuum lines... learning my lesson...

good advice. i only thought it was something regarding to the ecu because it started happening as soon as i got my ecu back from hydra. i sent it there to get reflashed to 2.17 and as soon as i got it back it started making the smell so i figured it was because of the box. but i will look at those items you listed.

Many people damage the rubber fuel injector seals when they do the swap.
