Lightbulb Make the raleigh meet (semi)regular?

What do you raleigh and area guys think about making our little trips to chillis regular?
And not to say they have to stay at chillis either...
in fact we need to find a better place to go (more parking/tables/bar area).

make it a weekend night (sunday?) so Snowman and others came make it in?

what say ye?

I like the idea of regular meets. One bit of caution, I used to live over there off Glenwood and all the food places on that strip are packed by 7PM on a Saturday night.

We may have to find some places that are a bit more off the main drag.

How about something around Six Forks / Falls of the Neuse? I'm all for making it a regular deal....But when would be a good time? Middle of the week? Weekend?

Weekend nights work for me best. We could pick a set day, like the 1st or 2nd Fri. of the month.

I'd drop by everyone once and a while, further south would be better for me.

Anyone into shooting pool? It would be cool to find a place we could eat/drink/shoot pool? Babineau's in Cary is one place, we can reserve a table and they server liquor/food.

Heh, I can attempt to shoot pool but that's about it; an attempt.

Sometime on the weekend would work for me; maybe we could have a semi-regular install day to go with it then plan on a dinner outing afterwards more or less around a specific time? Like the 1st Saturday of the month? Dinner at 7?

Scott, you up for us invading your house like once a month? Your location seems to work well.....

i dunno about every month..
we prolly ought to leave the shop days a little more unstructured schedule wise. just whenever we get a person or two needing something installed we can schedule one. other than that i'm fine with my garage being designated i-club shop.

now that i'm looking for a house of my own i need to specify 2-car garage... wonder if i could get a 2bedroom 4car garage... hah, yeah right.

Default Durham Garage

I can offer up a 2 car garage in Durham by 55/54 if we want to get to gether at my place. I've got some _basic_ tools and a work light or two handy.

Now if I only had stuff to install

Im all for it although my work schedule has kept me from the last couple meets. Weekends are a better likelyhood for me.

Thumbs up the Meet Whore approves!

you know me; always up for hanging with scooby people. There are several restaurants on six forks and/or Falls of Neuse that could work well....

But how about something farther south so Idjit can make it? I tend to think that Hard Times Cafe (on Glenwood near downtown) is an ideal spot!

Hard Times works for me; they have good food and usually seem to have enough space to accomodate a group of us, unlick Chili's which seems to be eternally packed. Hard Times is reasonably priced and has a good menu.

how does everyone (besides drbiggly) feel about hard times?

if you've never been there its on glenwood right downtown. its near sullivans, the rhino club, across from hibernia pub.

Default I'll show up when I can

It was good to meet you guys last week and I'll show up when I can make it. In addition, my father-in-law owns Raleighwood Cinema Grill so if you guys ever want to meet there (Falls of the Neuse and Sandy Forks), I should be able to get us free passes to get in the movie (food and beer we'd have to pay for). It's not something to do all the time as a group but it might be fun sometime.
