Default Cobb short throw install help needed

I ran into a snag today trying to get the Cobb shifter installed onto my STI....I cannot get the reverse lockout cable to seat it's self inside the shifter housing high enough.....is there something I could be doing wrong that I should look at before I call Cobb, or has anyone ran into a issue with the inside not being drilled out enough?

Thanks

Dan

with my kartboy install, if you go underneath have a friend pull on the reverse lockout cable from up top, you can see where you need to apply something to relieve the tension, i used a screwdriver head, but that will give you the necessary few inches to allow you to put that pin back in..hope this helps

The issue i ran into is that the brass piece on the top of the lockout cable would not sit up into the shaft far enough...Cobb is sending me a new upper shaft hopefully this corrects the problem....Thanks for the ideas though

Which hand holds the refereshing beverage then? I take it it does not have to be a super tight fit then since the stock one has some play in it? I should have just drilled the damm thing out from the begining...
