Default Redline Time Attack- Summit Point

Redline Time Attack - Summit Point, WV September 29th-30th

The entry fee for Saturday's High Performance Driving Event is only $175 and you can expect to receive 2.5 hours of On Track time. There is no racing on Saturday, simply hot lapping and practice.

The entry fee for the Redline Time Attack on Sunday is only $200. If you want to attend both days of the event, the entry fee is only $350.

Here is a link to our registration page for the event:

http://redlinetimeattack.com/index-6Summit07.htm

Spectator entry fee for the event will only be $15 (good for both days)... and if you get your hands on one of our event promotional fliers, those are good for $5 off (you will also be able to download the coupon from our website).

For those of you who are not interested in taking your car on the track but still want to show off your car, we will have a judged car show on Sunday. The cost is only $30 and comes with 2 spectator passes good for the entire weekend.

Anyone going?

Shenandoah has no runnoff. The walls are right there. That being said, there seem to be more wrecks on main than on Shenandoah.

I missed it last year. Should be able to make this one. I suspect my Civic will be in some unlimited class where I'll get crushed...

sc has limited run off, but there is plenty where it counts. That and SC is a SLOW track. I was there this weekend and saw several people go off at speed. No one came close to a wall.

I donno, if you still have some of the interior(door cards, dash, headliner, iirc) and are on street tires, you'd bee in street class.

I do have most of the front interior but, the treadwear on my only tires is 40. I believe to run any street class it has to be 140 or higher. I don't really mind. Any track time is good times whether I get crushed or not.

It's probably my favorite track. The Civic loves it.

What about Modified Class? Just step up to a tire with a treadwear of 50 to 130... Like an NT-01 or an RA-1 or one of the Kumhos..

Or just run in Unlimited and have a blast anyways! :-)

I signed up for Sat, I'll be running with the novice group :-)

MasterKwan - if you want to borrow a set of wheels/tire to run a street tire class, I may be able to help.

I'm driving my Civic but, thanks for the offer. I'm kind of exaggerating about getting killed, I don't get passed too often on track. If I'm going to compete, I want my cage around me. Shenandoah's a perfect track for the Civic. My wife would kill me if I crashed my WRX.

I'll sign up when I get back from Vacation.

So, if we don't have a transponder, do they have them available to rent, and if so, how much $$?

Sweet!

I'm just going to run unlimited, thanks. I'm on the Redline site and can't find the rules for classing. Anyone have a link?

One thing I noticed last time I was out was that the Saturday before was pretty wild on track. Open passing without pointby's. I saw a 3 wide pass entering bridge straight. Is it going to be like that this time too?

Is the same organization that does the "Friday at the track" type program or is this something separate? I'm tempted to join in on this but might just wait it out for a full weekend HPDE.

That was a hoot last year.... I ran my Evo9 last year. I plan on running my STi this year. The Evo9 died (crash) << long story I was the guy with the cool Air jacks built into the car if anyone else was there. Hopefully I will have the STi well sorted by then.

We have an official High Performance Driving School organized by the pros over at Get Fast. If this will be your first event ever on a track you are required to take the course which costs an extra $50 for Saturday. The course is open to anyone else looking to have an instructor in their car for every session as well as classroom "Chalk Talk" after each session. For $50, this is a great way to get up to speed, work on your lines and have a safe/fun time on the track.

Point-By's will be required at this event. However, we will also be STRICTLY enforcing the Passing Flag (Blue with yellow stripe). If the slower vehicle ignores the passing flag two passing zones in a row, the car will be black flagged and brought in to the pit lane for a talking-to. Drivers who refuse to allow faster cars to pass cause unnecessary frustration which often leads to poor and unsafe decisions being made by the faster drivers.

Rules are pretty easy to find. Right on the home page of our site:

www.RedlineTimeAttack.com

Along the top there is a "Rules" link.. Just click that and it takes you here:

http://redlinetimeattack.com/index-2.html

Then find your Class..... :-)

So for $225, I will get classroom course as well as hands-on driving? Will the classroom course be in the morning and driving in the afternoon (or something like that)? I am trying to convince a friend to come along.
