Default Some one who has installed a FMIC kit before...

Please install or help me install my Turbo XS FMIC before Monday...

Reason I can't do it myself is I don't have any experience with this and I have nothing to cut the front bumper with...

I am getting tuned at Harman on monday with my new evoIIIbig16g turbo and if I don't have some one else do it or do it myself, they are charging me 5 hours of labor to have this installed...90 an hour x 5 hours...Yeah it's expensive.

Also, I have already PM'd MINO but he is busy this weekend...Any help would be appreciated...Of course I would pay you for your time.

Thanks,

Erik

cutting the bumper doesnt really require special tools.

just buy some blue painters tape and utility knife.

i just helped discowagon cut his new sedan bumper two days ago. took us about 3 hours to cut it and get it to fit perfectly.

i say do it urself.

you can use a utility knife, but the results may come out better w/ a angle grinder or dremel.

i can help you on friday afternoon or sunday. pm me if you'd like.

ya man u can do it just go slow..I used a dremmel but the flying melting plastic in my eyes was not too cool but it went a lot faster.. If ur IC is THAT big u may have to cut ur front bumber beam a bit or take it to a welder to add some support.

It looks like a install day is happening at my house Sunday in Yorba Linda. You can do it there. Plenty of tools(air, hand) Plenty of room. TMT will be there.

I've cut stock bumpers out for FMIC's with a razor knife and cutoff wheels before. the results are much cleaner with the knife as long as you use a new razorblade.

Easiest cutting for me was a linoleum knife (http://media.incomsupply.com/products/775061.gif) and a rubber mallet. Nice clean cuts, and not too much effort.

dremmel is good, except for the liquid hot magma plastic the blade produces... I used it on my front grill with good results.

I might drop by on sunday to check out the progress...
