Too bad his "serious interest @ $30,000" from his first thread didn't work out.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Everything seems just a little too convenient or far-fetched. I will admit though, for the extent of the apparent damage to the bumper and hood, and the fact that the airbag is blown, it's a miracle that the front fenders didn't suffer more damage. The way the bumper looks he would have had to hit that barrier pretty hard and I would expect the fenders to be compressed significantly, but they look really clean in the pics. That's the only thing I see for now that makes me believe his story.

Good observation on the front fenders. If the hood bent in that much im sure the fenders should have too. The radiator support doesn't even look bent.. i have an integra and that piece should have bent for sure if he had enough force to even make the airbag pop out... I don't know!!! I'll have to see this car in person to make a proper judgement I guess.

I wouldn't touch that car with a 10' pole...seriously. I don't care if he wrecked it, or didn't, or scammed his parents, or didn't. Fact of the matter is, he is lying to SOMEONE badly!

I find it harder and harder to buy private cars nowadays, other than if you know the person very well.

I'd never buy a car from a person I know very well (friend). If something, or should I say, when something goes wrong, even if it was your buddies fault or something which happened irregardless of the previous owner, there could be some friction between the friendship.

Money and cars break friendships more than wommmmen do.

And yeah, its the ahfung thread. Seems like it got deleted.

i dont know why, but the the guy who post the accident did that to almost every forum i know of. pretty consistent i must say.

i would never buy car from friend too, unless i feel like nothing could challange our friendship. however, i only have few here and i dont think they own any car that i like.
