Brown, am I alone?

Default any openecu or like options for pre drive by wire?

97 Legacy, thinking about e85 conversion again but need a better feel for what's going on in the engine without paying hundreds for individual gauges / sensors. Any options for interfacing with a basic comp running xp? (non-turbo, drive by rusty cable). I've heard it's not possible to reflash anything from this era but is one way communication possible? Was subaru's proprietary communication around back then or only basic OBDII?

what kind of information are you trying to get? Some of it may be accomplished through the obdii port but you will not be able to reflash the ecu at all
