Default forester is not godzilla friendly

i just spent about 3 hours cleaning out my intercooler and fixing all the fins what an absolute nightmare, and i really dont know how that lizard got there must be that new flying kind there is definately something going on between the local lizard population and my forester.the last one i encounteredi was doing about 100km/h,came over a rise and saw this monster (about 3ft long)standing in the middle of the road.if only he kept his head down (lucky it wasnt a roo or a wombat those things do major damage)i went back for it,incase it was still alive, but it was slightly........broken

forester owners dont talk much do they?????????

YEah, unlike the IMPREZA and WRX owners, who apparently just stay home at their computers and TALK about their cars, us Forester owners are out enjoying ours.

What's a roo weigh?

Moose are the biggest danger 'round here. They are tall enough to take the top off a Honda (couple years ago, a family hit one and it decapitated the mom and dad in the front seats, but the kids were sleeping in the rear seats). Another big danger with moose is hitting them and having them come through the windshield and land in your lap.

Luckily, there aren't too many moose (meese?) around. Tons and tons of elk. About 1000 lbs. each.

Deer mostly just wreck the front of your car but aren't _that_ dangerous.

This is why I worry so much about having really, really good headlights and driving lights.

Angry

Here in NY we have too many friggin' deer running around. Have been dodging them since fall arrived, and after lookin' for a real brush (roo, bull etc.) bar for my '02, I took a chance on a Manik mfg. bar listed to fit '98-'00 Forester only. It fits my '02 to a tee! 2 days after I install the bar... a deer runs into the side of me, to the tune of $672 damage. Just my luck.

I have to dodge hedgehogs and cats. I probably wouldn't even notice if I hit one! At least it would give me an excuse if I ever crash. "I swerved to avoid a cat officer". Lots of people do that in court over here, but they still get done.
