Default 275whp/270wtq BONE STOCK!!!

This dyno run was in my 1999 impreza 2.5 RS with an 07 STi Limited swap. The transmission is the stock RS 4.11 5 speed, and the motor is running stock ecu, air filter, exhaust w/ cats, etc. No power mods at all.

Here it is...

and here is the car...

There were "older" (04-05) STi's with Turboback exhausts and such there that day, they were putting out 250-255 which is right where I would expect it to be. I know the 07's are putting down more power than ever, and maybe my lower gear ratio 5 speed had something to do with it... or I dunno. Maybe I got lucky with this motor. Thanks for looking though!

Gears have nothing to do with HP ratings if the software is set up correctly.

Interesting... I did specify as the car was going onto the rollers, that it had the stock RS transmission, and I do remember specifically saying 4.11. Regardless, if you are a non-believer, stop by sometime and I'll take you for a drive... = )

I would assume less drive train loss through the 99 2.5RS tranny and drive train. Smaller axles, smaller brakes, different diffs., ect. That is probably why you are seeing more power than a normal STi would on that dyno. Congrats on an awesome swap.

That's crazy! I went there too at around 1pm. I put down 285whp on a Cobb OTS St. 2, Cobb SRI, Cusco DP, Buddy Club CBE, Fujitsubo Super EX mani, and a Hyper Force system. Just out of curiosity, is your car a 2Dr?

edit: This is an 05 STi

Just curious how easy it is to smog a car after a swap? Or do you not have smog laws in them there parts.

I picked the car up from East Coast Swappers, and passed emissions on my way home that same day. So I'd say, it's pretty easy!!! and yes, we have smog laws in CT.

Sounds good.. But I will warn you, we are doing our own baseline when you get here..

We should have the guys from ECS down when you tune.. good guys, great work, tuned a lot of their setups... Paul is awesome and probably the only guy on the planet I would let do a swap on a GC if I ever get one.

Either way, nice setup, sleeper, and I love sleepers.
