Angry Arghhhh....I may have gotten ripped off from someone on this board!!!

Or I may be overreacting. I bought a Unichip off of a member of this board. He recieved all of the money ($700) via PayPal on 12/14/01. I was in contact with him for a while via email and he was supposed to send the unichip back to TurboXS for the 1.5 update then sent it to me. I have sent him numerous emails trying to contact him about the status of the chip since then...asking whether he has sent it out or not and he has not responded since 12/21/01 where he emailed me:

"Been real busy. Haven't sent the chip off yet. I haven't forgotten, though. I'll do it tomorrow.".

Should I be worried? I called TurboXS and let them know that he said he was sending it in to them and when they get it to give me a call. The thing that pisses me off is that i should have just got it through TurboXS. But I thought they still had a wait and I wanted one now!!! I even paid full price. Yuck!!!

$700 is a lot of money to lose...i will be really pissed off!

What should I do guys? I mean he has the money...and I have no UniChip.

No one with any suggestions? Should I send a Buyer Complaint to PayPal and see if they can help me get in contact with him?

I don't think so...he hasn't responded when i ask him if he has. So, I assume not. I called TurboXS on Friday and they said that they didn't have it and his name didn't ring a bell.

It has been since the 21st since you last heard from him? I would send a message to him saying you are contacting PayPal about the payment as it has been plenty of time for a response. It might be a honest mistake, but PayPal takes a cut of the transaction for a reason...make them earn their money!

I was just lurking around supraforums.com (I think it was in general discussion section) and someone over there is going through the same exact situtation but he sent his money through FedEx.

He gave the guys name, address and email. Check it out maybe its the same guy.

Wow...moved to "Vendor" section. It was a private sale. I guess it doesn't matter. Weird!

P.S. I still haven't heard from him so I filed a Buyer Complaint with PayPal today.

I called him this morning and left a message. He just returned my call. He will ship the UniChp to me tomorrow.
