Sounds about right.

If you're going catless downpipe, go with Ultimate Racing. on their site for 325.

I hesitate about Cobb because they don't have catless yet.

Sedans cost more because of dual tip.

True! The dual mufflers associated flanges etc. all add to the cost.

Has anyone tried to install an 08' hatchback exhaust on the sedan? I have not heard anyone try it and succeed or fail. If it does not quite fit, what would it take to make it fit. The only issue I see is probably from the flange behind the differential and back. I am tired of waiting and would like to know what modification is needed to make it work. I also do not really want to put a dual on there because I thing it looks tacky coming off a single turbo. I don't care that the bumper it cutout for two tips. I am looking at possible modifying the Invidia turbo back system.

Know this is the Powertrain section but noticed some talk of gauges, suspension and other non-Powertrain related items so just wanted to add this for everyone to check out: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1481645

Thanks,

It isn't on the SPT site, but my dealer has one in inventory.

Does anyone know if the new SPT cat back will work with a Cobb DP? My DP has been on order for over 3 weeks now....should be in any day. I love Borla's products, but from what I have read the Borla system will not work with a 3" down pipe. Invidia has a system out that is fairly inexpensive, but it is also fairly loud (for my taste). I also saw that Billy Boat has a system for the 08 hatch, but that one is too loud for me as well....

The Invidia exhaust is the cheapest by far....wondering how much $$ the SPT will be and if it will even fit.

They are definitely louder than stock because you cannot hear a stock exhaust at all. They are not quit as loud as a lot of the aftermarket exhausts but I like that. Some are too loud and drone out the interior of the car. Plus adding a catless up and downpipe will definitely give it some more sound.

Has anyone had any problems running an Invidia downpipe with an aftermarket exhaust? I keep reading a lot of posts with people having issues running some downpipes with aftermarket exhaust. I don't understand it. How can you an aftermarket downpipe or exhaust and have it not fit if it is supposed to be a bolt-in replacement.

Yea, I heard about the hold that was placed on all SPT exhaust orders. I think (hope) they just got such a flood of orders that they oversold the available stock (just guessing though...no clue why the hold). Hoping they aren't delaying the release completely.

But expecting to be let down, I got a pleasant surprise...my dealer told me that they called Subaru about my order and they released the part so I will have it tomorrow (Thurs now). I ordered first thing yesterday morn as an overnight part order so I imagine it was one of the first to go in. At that time, the Indy distributor showed 250 available in stock.

I know some of the other dealers in the area hold accessory orders for the normal Thurs (Mon delivery) order....guessing those guys may end up having to wait a bit longer if they missed the original 250 available, but hope not.

Yeah, it sounds like the 5-door system is done but not the 4-door. What else is new! I guess the inventory shows 100's of one and none of the other.

If you live in New England I called a local dealer this afternoon, Subaru's New England warehouses have several hundred of these for the 5-doors.

Called my dealer again regarding the sedan one, and gave him the PN that is in the N&R thread about the spt exhaust, he found it.

what's weird is he called the rep, and they said they have no idea, gave him the PN and it was all there, so maybe try the PN....

(picture jacked from N&R thread)
