Default Body shops/03 wrx in accident

I was driving my car and all of a sudden a 98 gmc suv decided to run a stop sign. I t boned them, nothing i could do. No one was hurt. However my car needs some work. There insurance is going to cover everything. Geico is going to bring it to ABLE for an estimate? Anybody have any tips or advice?

Thanks

Tommy

everybody will have good and bad things to say about most shops in town.
Able will guarenty their work, and geico will back it up if their one of their "preferd shops"
you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Just go over it really well when you get it back, point out ANYTHING that doesn't look right.

p.s. Able did a minor repair on my car and it looks great.

I dealt with Able briefly trying to get an issue resolved. Though they did good work (from what I can tell) on the initial repair, backing up their work to finish the job right just didn't happen. They had the car for 2-1/2 weeks and couldn't find the source of a suspension rattle. Prometheum and I found it in under 10 minutes, with him driving and me in the back. Their excuse was "they couldn't duplicate the problem", but with me driving normally down a nearby road the noise was obvious and loud.

Secondly, I had them eval the paint on my Boxster's rear bumper. I dislike the repair that was done it it in Arizona because of the "orange peel" appearance. Able basically blew me off and told me a detail shop could buff it out. Pointed questions about getting a smooth paint appearance, even by color sanding, were never met with clear answers about whether or not they could do it. The detail shop Able recommended almost laughed at the request, saying it must be repainted and that buffing would do nothing.

-1 for Able. Not impressed.

I've had two collisions on the right front.

1st time I went to Chaz. They did a decent job but took forever (prolly because of the wiring harness), lost my stereo remote (I found the spare tire clamp in the rear fender after a few days), and turned me in to my insurance company who then dropped me for autocrossing.

2nd time I went to Stepp Brothers. They did a great job, were fast, and even fixed more than they maybe needed to. I recommend Stepp.
