Default STi Muffler on BD

So I have the chance of buying an 04 STi axleback from someone, and was wondering how much I should pay for it? It probably will fit and onto a 3inch midpipe, maybe with resonator and unequal length headers. It would fit through the stock rear bumper cutout right?

The pipe will need to be lengthened, and the hangers need to be relocated.

There's a few threads on here, do a search.

3 inch midpipe?! Yikes, you don't need it that big.

It will need a bit of hangar modification, but the general bend of the exhaust and the can/tip itself will fit on the car.

The axleback piping is 2.375" FYI

I wouldn't go any bigger than that.

I can get it with the stock STi catback also for $200 CAD, is that a fair price? it probably would need lengthen though.

Yeah, you'll need about 6 inches on the midpipe if you get the whole catback.

I would encourage it though. Free resonator & stainless steel piping.

Pricing that I have seen lately $75-100 USD so $80 to $105 CAD for an axleback

Ive got the exhaust, after i get the midpipe lengthened and hangers relocated, it will be able to work and hook up to the stock LegacyGT headers?
If i send it into and exhaust shop how long should it take?

if your stock headers are the same size as the ones on my L, then no the STi exhaust won't bolt right up. it won't bolt onto the cat either, cause it's too big (cat is only 2"). if you're going to stay NA, just have a reducer welded onto the pipe that leads into the cat, and just have the STi piping welded onto that reducer (keep the flange though, in case you decide to go turbo later on!). if you're going to go turbo, then you'd probably replace all the components anyway, so in the end it doesn't matter.
