Default Inside Line Contest - Win a trip to drive the Opel Astra and Frankfurt Auto Show

I was going to put this in "News & Rumors," but thought the OT forum may be a more appropriate home for this thread.

http://www.edmunds.com/il/astracontest.html

Visit the Frankfurt auto show

Test-drive the Saturn (Opel) Astra

Report in our "Straightline" blog

Saturn says you should rethink its small-car offering. We say you should go test-drive the Opel-based Astra in the land of its birth. Tell us why you're the right one for the job and we might send you on assignment as the winner of "Inside Line's Frankfurt Auto Show" contest.

We'll fly you to Frankfurt, where you'll meet your Inside Line guide and attend a press day at the Frankfurt auto show. Then you'll spend a day driving a U.S.-spec Astra on German roads. Along the way, you'll be sharing your experiences and observations with the IL audience through blog entries on "Straightline." Airfare and three nights' accommodations and more are on us.

If you are at least 21 years old and have a valid driver license, a clean driving record and a valid passport, you can qualify. When you register below, you will write a 500-word essay telling us why you should be picked for this assignment. And showing us what we can expect from your coverage. Entries close August 22, and the winner will be notified August 31.

Be an Inside Line correspondent for 48 hours. Enter now. And good luck.

If the letters "VXR" or the word "Redline" were involved, I'd already be on it.

Otherwise, meh.

An Astra is an economy car, I don't see why anyone would want to "win" a contest to drive one.

There's more to it than just driving the Astra--a vehicle that we could probably assume is less fun to drive than a WRX.
