Default 96 legacy wagon Brake Upgrades

Bang for buck, what should I look for? Rear calipers are about shot, and if I'm going to replace 2, why not 4? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Upgrade to GT brakes? You can find used ones really cheap, I bet.

PADS!!!! ditch those stock crappy pads and get a good set of pads all the way around.. also i'm sure you're still running stock fluid so a flush would help with pedal feel.. and if you have money left over get some SS brake lines. might as well do it all at once..

if you cant find GT/Outback/RS brakes, the older Turbo legacy brakes are the same size as the GT/Outback/RS brakes.

You could go WRX brakes up front, and match it with the H6 upgrade in the back.

Yes, they should, seeing how they fit under other stock Subaru 16" rims. Don't think we had 17s available on anything until the STi in 04. (maybe on the WRX as an extra option)

I'm upgrading my Legacy to '02 WRX brakes f/r and will have the stock GT bits left over. Rotors are good, calipers work fine.

My suggestion would be to read this thread:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1320302

And then upgrade the rears only to the 290mm single pots found on the BE/BHs, fresh DOT4 fluid+pads(same material f+r) and possibly ss lines.
