Default 02 Subie Acting Weird

I have noticed that if I drive for a bit of time and turn of my car it cannot turn it on for about 20mins... doesnt even try to turn over. Could this be a battery, or starter problem? It will start just after a bit of time.

It will run perfect driving so I dont think it is the alternator.

Would doubt it is the battery.

My guess is its a cold/hot start issue, Temp sensor maybe?

Yeah I am leading to starter because I do have the Apexi turbo time that shows the battery and it is running solid. But if anyone else has any ideas let me know.Is there a way to test the starter.

Not to my knowledge, I always just replaced them. If the Subies are like the VW sensors, they are what, ~$15 each?? By the time they were possibly failing, it was always like 60-70k miles so figured why risk it.

That is an odd problem. I've seen similar problems when remote start systems act up. Do you have one of those? I wonder if the turbo timer could cause it, it can connect and interrupt the ignition power circuit.

You can pull the intercooler to gain access to the starter for testing or removal. Removing the IC just takes a few minutes.

No autostart but I will disconnect the turbotime that happens to see if that works. Acutally slipped my mind to think of the timer. This is why I like Nasioc, ideas from other people.

Does it try to crank when it won't start? might be a fuel pump. I've seen that happen before.

with STi Spoiler and ZeroSports grill and sidemarker vents and a Subaru Window banner... that would be me. Making changes to it though, stripping logos off of it now. Dont like them. Going for the cleaner look now. Just got the windows tinted yesterday.
