Question How much was your accident repair cost?

I'm curious to find out how much people have paid for repair costs on their cars...be it what insurance paid (with your deductable) to your out of pocket costs.

I'm not talking about upgrades...but purely ACCIDENT repair costs. Be it door dings to off-road mishaps to someone running into your baby (or even you running into someone elses!)

I'll start it off... $12,500

Hit straight on the passenger side by a 1988 Honda CRX. No injuries (other than my pride), 70 days in the shop.

Well if no one replies...and since this forum is pretty quiet...I don't think we will have much to cry about!

About $800 to replace the rear bumper after a 15mph rear end collision.

I was stopped at a stoplight. A red stoplight. And the idiot plowed into me!

Default Oh, the pain...

Well, so far its $1092.52.(dealership bodyshop estimate)

A guy reversed into my car when it was parked, shattering
the driver side light cluster, and bending the fender.

Ran mine into a ditch at about 25 mph in December of 2000, came to a few shades over $9,000. New front bumper, hood, headlights/foglights, right front fender, dashboard, both airbags and an I-beam.

Slid backwards into a mailbox, being held up with a 4 inch steel pole (no overkill or anything). Completely my fault because I was being an idiot. But anyways......new rear bumper and support beam, trunk, spoiler, and rear window. Did the repairs myself and came out to $1,300. I did pay to have the parts painted, and the window installed. Would you believe they wanted $1,000 for new rear glass????? Thank you for junk yards...$75 for the glass and $50 for the install.

A little ugly on the side

Unhappy

I'm still not sure how, but some lady I parked next to at work sideswiped my back passenger bumper with her front passenger bumper. Little subie vs huge caddie... lady was gone before i saw it. next day i see a green caddie(the same green on my white subie) with my white paint on her bumper. lady denied everything and siad she hit her garage. cops told me i was out of luck and should just pay it myself. I didn't even make my first payment yet.... just about every shop was lookin at 400 to shoot the whole bumper. One guy even wanted me to charge me 12 bucks for that little AWD sticker.
