Default Does anyone else have these headers?

Ok, Im trying to find the souce that is killing my rumble and figured Id see who else has these headers.

I have the GT-Spec Gen II headers. Does anyone else have these exact ones and does your car have less rumble then others? I am trying to get the rumble where I want it and need to find the souce of the problem. I dont think it is the cat back but I wouldnt mind swapping to test it out if anyone happens to have one just lyin around!

well if you've got equal length headers then that would be why you don't have the "boxer rumble"

unequal length headers retain the boxer rumble, equal length makes it sound like a honda. the stockers are unequal length.

We should stop calling it the "boxer rumble".

It is more of a "header rumble".

The fact that the headers has part to do with it isn't the point.

There are a couple header manufacturers that make the exact same header design. MadDad Headers are the exact same as the GT spec headers. I have the MadDad headers on my car. They do flatten out some of the rumble you are used to, but they flow a whole lot better and give you increased horsepower. You'll probably even spoolup slightly quicker then with stock or any other after market unequal length header.

The GT specs aren't even equal length headers.... they are a lot closer then stock, but you wouldn't want to use them with a twin-scroll turbo.

Josh has a set as well but they aren't on his car yet last I talked to him.

Kyle has the maddad headers on his car and his rumble is still loud and clear. I was told that mine were GT Spec II when I bought it, but when I look at it, it doesnt have any markings on it other then IS or ISS on the flanges. Im thinking about just swapping out the headers but I want to make sure that is what it is. I would be willing to trade for some if anyone out there is interested ^_^ Im not going to need the performance to be at its peak when I leave here. Ill be more into working on the future projects.

If you don't care about the performance why don't you just put on the stockers? or just get a set of Mad Dad headers

I want to get a set soon, not stockers of course, but probably something like maddad. Im going to try and see if someone has a set I can borrow first so i can make sure that is what is doing it. i dont want to buy some headers and not need them. Or I might try and trade.

LoL, I dont want to just kill everything, I want something that will work well but still have the rumble. Ive heard good things about the maddad ones and I like the way Kyle's sounds.

I have a set of borla headers, they are awesome if you are looking to get a new set I would suggest looking into them.

Who cares what it sounds like long as your bringing in faster times.

I could have a lawn chair, welded to the frame, and care less... long as it was fast.

because it wont be getting raced anymore. It is going to just be a daily driver, I'll be building other cars for racing. I dont care if I lose a 10th in the 1/4 since it will never be going back to the 1/4.
