I just realized that none of the lights on the decklid of my 2000 Legacy Outback work. That includes the tag lights, back up lights, tail lights, and brake lights. The only lights on the back of the car that work are the tail/brake lights on the quarters and the 3rd brake light. I have checked all the bulbs and fuses and they are all fine. Seems weird that the ones that don't work are all on the decklid. Someone told me that it might be a bad ground wire of a corroded socket. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks a million!

Have you traced the wiring harness back into the body of the car?

I have not. I pretty much stopped after checking all the bulbs and fuses. You think the harness may be damaged further up into the car?

It's possible that a wire might have been caught between two panels and is pinched? |

Huffer, you are the man!!! I checked the harness and sure enough, the connector on the decklid side was all messed up. The wires had totally pulled away from the connector. Wired it all back up and it works perfect. Thanks again...you rule!
