So got Tim Bailey to pro-tune my STi.

Mods.

Perrin FMIC
K&N short ram
Gtspec unequal length header
titek dp
Apexi Noir
1 step colder plugs
California 91 pump

I'm really happy with the tune.. all on 91.

With Tim's off the shelf map, it ran 275whp and 303 lbs of torque.

Here are the results after an hr tune... redline being the track map, running a bit richer up top for lower EGTs. Blue line being everyday map.

Tim Bailey is VERY GOOD at what he does.My vf/39 06 wrx made 288hp/320tq and is so smooth.[ 18.5 lbs.]

<banter>Looks like your torque peak was leveled. (reminds me of audi's) Usually the VF-39's soar right there. Not that it gains you much in the real world, but it makes the 39's come out with huge wtq numbers for a nano second.

Maybe it is better to do it that way for drivability, since that is more important. Probably a conscious chioce.

I'm pretty sure it was a concious decision so that i would have more usable torque in daily driving and for the track.

I got my headers when there werent really that many equal length headers.. but the gt spec is basically the same as tomei header, and the collector and finish is better then some equal length header eg. Perrin.
