Default PSA: epilators should not be used on your face...

I hate the neck portion of me beard. I have to wear a collared shirt every day and when I wear a tie, too, it irritates me to no end.

So...

I was looking for a way to eliminate the neck hair or at least thin it out.

An epliator is NOT the way to go. OMG - the pain!

I've been thinking about getting it lazered off (since I don't think I'll ever have a full beard and I will likely be wearing ties for the rest of my life) and this seemed like a potentially cheaper option.

Yeah, I know, but it might be worth it.

Looking like I have a neck rash every day I wear a tie is not pleasant.

Better solution: Find a job that doesn't require you to wear a tie.

Meh. I'm cool with ties otherwise.

I have a feeling that one day someone is going to find you dead in the bathroom, hanging from your tie with your erection in your hand. Botched autoerotic asphyxiation FTL!

buy shirts with a bigger neck size

shave at night instead of the morning

only shave the bottom part of your neck every other day

don't put any after shave or balm on your neck

nair just the neck line(haven't tried this, makes sense to me)

thats what works for me.

Getting a laser treatment works, but it'll cost you about 3-5 visits over the course of a few months. It's not cheap, and not permanent. People often get new growths after a few years, and have to repeat treatment.

I'd look into your hygiene regimen to minimize the rash.

I think you meant fine, luxurious hair...

That's the plan!

Nair is the next step. Bigger neck sizes help, but don't eliminate the problem...

What do you mean by hygiene regimen?

Don't you get hot as hell in this area wearing a tie? I mean, when it's 97 degrees outside, the heat needs a natural way to escape from the top of your shirt.

I'd sweat like a pig.
