Default Car may not have flash as I was told

I just bought my 03 and it was supposed to be flashed with the free stage 1 from enginuity or something like that. Anyway at WOT the gauge goes to .1 in third, fourth, and fifth, but in 1, 2 it goes 2 notches before .1 . I was told by one person that I was running stock boost, then told by another that the boost had been upped.

sounds like normal stock boost - .1 being somewhere around 13.5-14psi. and in 1st or 2nd you will likely not hit full boost with this tune.

defiantly stock boost...you'll have to check the air fuel ration to really see if it is tuned, but if the boost isn't upped then i would guess A/F isn't changed.
sounds like you got scammed(it was free though)

Hmmm.... I'm a little confused by the above replies. I've been in several stock 2.0 liter wrxs, and I've never seen the stock boost gauges in any of them actually touch the .1 mpa mark. I've seen them come CLOSE, but never actually touch it...

When I flashed the Cobb stage 1 map on my car, it just then began to actually hit .1 mpa, and according to the live boost reading on my accessport, it was hitting target boost (it often hit 15 psi in fourth and fifth gears).

Maybe my observation is useless, though.... the enginuity maps may be different.

Edit: I should also probably point out that all that I remember driving were 04 and 05 models... maybe there is something different about 03s that I'm not aware of.

sounds like a stg1 flash to me. 1st and 2nd gear will not hold as much boost at redline as 3rd and 4th.

From what I understand you wont have time or load enough in 1&2nd gear to hit target boost. Mine doesn't develop in 3rd every time...4th & up its a lock though...if you get a tactrix cable you can pull the rom with enginuity and compare to a stock (or free stg 1 for that matter) boost target table and see if it is indeed stock...
