That's right, the 2007 Subaru Guaranteed Trade In Program (GTP) is here... and it's for Imprezas only! Subaru Guaranteed Trade-In Vehicle Condition Criteria

The guaranteed trade-in value is based on vehicle being in safe operating condition and free of existing and/or previously repaired collision damage which required panel and/or part(s) replacement. The vehicle must also conform to the standards for normal wear and use. Meeting any one of the following criteria will exclude the vehicle from the Guaranteed Trade-In Program:

• The vehicle does not have a current registration, inspection or emission sticker.
• The vehicle will not pass applicable state or federal safety or emissions inspection.
• The engine, drivetrain, or other mechanical, safety, and electrical parts do not operate.
• The windows, windshield, lenses, or lights are cracked or broken and need replacement.
• Any condition that would require disclosure at time of auction sale and/or on certificate of title, including but not limited to, flood damage, salvage vehicle or frame damage.
• The odometer/speedometer has been replaced, tampered with and/or is currently inoperative.
• The vehicle has been modified in such a way as to have either voided the original Subaru Warranty or to have taken the vehicle out of compliance with any applicable state or federal safety or emissions requirements.
• The vehicle has been materially altered from its original construction, including but not limited to, modified suspension, modified exhaust system, modified turbo or engine components.
• The vehicle cannot be legally registered as a passenger vehicle.
• There is damage to the finish either by environmental causes or applied chemicals.
• The vehicle does not have four (4) undamaged matching tires with each one having at least 1/8-inch (4/32) tread at its lowest point.
• The vehicle has previously repaired collision damage which required panel or part(s) replacement, including but not limited to, hood, fender, door, trunk lid, and/or quarter panel.
• The vehicle has existing, un-repaired collision damage.
• The vehicle has previously repaired paint damage which does not conform to OEM specifications, including but not limited to, non-matched paint, paint swirls, paint bubbles, paint flaking and/or paint contamination.
• Any other condition that in the opinion of Subaru of America, Inc. significantly reduces the vehicle’s value.

Vehicle Mileage Criteria: The guaranteed trade-in value is based on the following maximum allowable total vehicle mileage at the time of actual trade-in:

Model Year 2002 90,000 miles
Model Year 2003 75,000 miles
Model Year 2004 60,000 miles
Model Year 2005 45,000 miles
Model Year 2006 30,000 miles

Adjusting Trade-In Value: If your vehicle exceeds the maximum mileage limits stated above and is not disallowed by the Vehicle Exclusions or the Vehicle Condition Criteria, your participating Subaru dealer will calculate a value based on your vehicle’s actual mileage. Please visit your participating Subaru dealer to receive a complimentary and complete vehicle evaluation to determine the actual market value of your Subaru vehicle.

Vehicle Exclusions:
1. Leased vehicles are excluded from this offer. Title to the owner’s current Subaru must be in an individual’s name.
2. Commercial vehicles are excluded from this offer. Title to the owner’s current Subaru cannot be in a business name.
3. Vehicles originally sold in a foreign country are excluded from this offer. The owner’s current Subaru must have been originally sold in one of the 50 United States of America.

This Subaru guaranteed trade-in value is an exclusive offer – only for you – that guarantees the minimum trade-in amount you will receive for your qualified Subaru vehicle when you purchase a new 2007 or 2008 Subaru vehicle from dealer inventory and take delivery between August 23, 2007 and October 31, 2007.

I traded my 05 2.5RS with 36k miles for $11,500 in April... my current GTP number is $13,150. KBB excellent trade in is $11,800.

I plugged in my wagon, $10,450. More than I expected! Just out of curiosity, does this price take into account that the car is covered under an added security plan? I don't drive it that much anymore so this is the first time the miles (~85K) have been low enough to qualify for the GTP. However, because I don't drive it that much anymore, I don't need a new car.

My wife, on the other hand, would love to give me her Accord and put that $10K toward a new Tribeca.
