Default I have a month to get cut, I need help.

I am going to New York in October and I have a month to be ready for the photo shoot. I am pretty built as it is, I am a soldier and maintain my fitness pretty well but I don't ever pay attention to what I eat and my cardio is limited. I am 5'9 or so at 182lbs but most of it's muscle and I was told I have a great frame to work off of. I need a diet and ab workout that will get me set for then. I am not a heffer trying to get lean I just need to lean up my stomach from a flat stomach to cut, and I need to know what to eat, what not to eat. I eat a TON usually... I'm a garbage disposal. I look pretty good now, I can only imagine if I actually did cardio and abs and ate right. I need some help... it's too hard to handle a diet where I have to measure crap out to the cup size and bla bla bla... does it have to be like that? Or can I work it well with a do eat this dont eat that... 2000 calorie diet isnt going to cut it, I'm thinking I'm a 3,500 calorie guy. Whatever it is, I need to lean up and get cut and have one month to do so. Help?

Um...what about your soldier exercises?

The way the competition guys do it is by dehydrating themselves to get rid of excess water weight-- and they may look like the posters of fitness but many of them are extremely unhealthy.

Fail!

Reps have nothing, NOTHING to do with getting cut.

To lose fat you have to take in less calories than you burn. Keep your protein high, keep your carbs low and your fats moderate to low. Do cardio. Keep your lifting volume high.

Get a nutritionist, that's my opinion.

+1 on diet, I have been working out for the past month and eventhough I haven't lost weight I have gained a decent amount of definition. 3 days a week of weight for an hour a day and 20 minutes of hardcore eliptical each day. I also try to eat little carbs and lay off of beer.

get a tapeworm,

you cannot target fat loss in your abdomen, I do not get why people believe this. Fat is lost all over your body.

Listen to people who know, the guys who train for the strongman competition emphasize the **** out of balance.

Its a balance essentially of the right amount of carbs, protein, and fat.

carbs = fuel
protein = build
fat = repair cartilidge(sp?) and hormone production
