I would do a search. There are many many threads addressing a swap of this type. Be prepared to pay. Last I read, it will be $3000 ++

For something of this magnitude, this thread will be inadequate. Like I said, search and read.

Start by opening up Unabomber's Transmission FAQ and scroll down to What's involved with swapping from a 5MT to a 6MT

BUT note that is geared towards the pre-06 WRX 5MT that had a 3.545 rear end and 1.1:1 center - if you are talking about doing this on your 07 you will need to figure your rear end options accordingly.

Kienan 681-6675 is all the information you will ever need to know.

Next time you have a question, remember that there are smart local people in your area, so post in the MAIC forum. There are more built Subaru transmission people in Virginia Beach than anywhere else in the entire nation believe it or not. The knowledge to do ANY transmission modification can be found in the phone number above as Kienan has done or assisted or set-up more transmission jobs out of his "little" shop than most of the "big" shops on this forum.
