Whoa! How are you going to mount that turbo in the bumper? It looks like you would have to run bumperless or something with all those lines coming off it and it just hanging there.

First a couple of pics then the build details. Keep in mind the car isn't totally done, we still need to tuck up all the lines, shorten a few of them etc..

This car has been a long time in the making. Ill get Mike to post the low boost dyno charts on Monday. Apparently after reading some post by Ron at Axis it appears that I didn't torque the head studs correctly. So after the first heat cycle we popped a head gasket...just barely. So I'll be pulling the motor on Monday and replacing the head gaskets probally with something a little thinner.

The car made 500whp at 18lbs spinning it to 7500rpms, we plan on spinning it to 8000rpms....but with didn't get a chance yet. It spools about the same as a GT35R with 1.06 backside. It doesn't look like 700whp is going to be a problem at all. I'll post more as we continue tuning.

Big Thanks to the guys at Batlground Motorsports Engineering. Brandon the head Mechanic has put everything he has into this project, he is the only mechanic that has ever touched this car. Dan has been awesome and he will settle for nothing less than perfection in his tunes. Scott Siegel the new arrival at Batlground has been there for technical guidance and general Subaru knowledge. Mike who usually handles front office duties was there all night the other night helping us get the car done. I can't say enough good things about these guys...

I'm open to questions if there is anything you want to know please ask.

Matt

Looking good!!! I myself have been contemplating on building a twin turbo kit
for an STI.. Who knows time will tell, anyway good luck with the project, lots of luck.

The bumper fits perfectly, the turbo sits right in the foglight hole, with foglight covers on you can't even tell its there. It made that power through a Borla Hush, the downpipe runs up through the engine bay right where the uppipe used to run. The car is very stealthy looking with the bumper on it looks just like any other black bugeye.

That Wrx looks awsome in person needs a carwash badly though.

You need to get a under the car picture with a clear shot of the shorty headers cant believe it took me over a hour after the car was lowered to the ground to relise it was a WRx and the rims you have on it look old toyata or something.

Dan at Batlground had one on his EVO forever ago, I think it was probally one of the first ones. It made awesome power so we thought it was a logical choice.

I'll get Mike to post the graph first thing Monday. Ill look and see if I have any under car pics.

I was thinking about buying a Carbon RS hood and painting it. We might put some mesh in front of the front mount to hide it.

Sorry if this had already been asked, but can we get some more details on your turbo. I know it says GT 37r, but those look like custom housings to me. Is it basically at GT37r CHRA with custom housings? If so were did you get it?

His previous turbo was a GT30R spec'd out by the guys at Batlground, so I would guess this one is the same way and done up by them also.

In regards to the OP; Matt your setup looks awesome, thanks so much for posting it up!

There is nothing super custom about the turbo, Dan at BG Spec'd it out again. Ill see if I can get more info on it.

LOL, they are just temporary, we have billet clamps coming for them. We still have to shorten some of the lines etc....

I'm running the same turbo... With a p-trim turbine, and .82 a/r t3 turbine housing.

Any specfics on what your running as you can buy this turbo in many different combinations.

It's also called a t04r, or t3/t67.

It's still in the build process... but my setup is almost exactly the same as yours except, I'm running stockported intake mani, my turbo is just rotated mount location, and stock wrx heads with DPR stage 4 cams and valvetrain.

I should have baseline rough tune numbers this week.

LOL Me too

Hopefully we will have them by the end of the week. It looks like numbers are going to be dependent on how far I want to push it.

We were just hoping for 600whp when we started now its looking like 700s are possible.
