Default How far have has anyone driven their wrx...

Im about to drive 5-6 hours straight in Florida this friday after work. ive heard many things about spinning bearings and other complaints and i was wondering how far anyone has driven their wrx. i have a 2002 with 69k miles. i run regular 10w-30 that i put in about 1k miles ago. no mods except cat-back and atmos. bov. it would be really great to get anyones input on this. i also will be driving at 5 pm so it wont be too hot.

Why do you have a BOV if you're running a pretty much stock setup?

i make over 300 whp and regularly drive over 3 hours strait once a week normally. the wrx is just like any normal regual car. you will have no problems driving it. just check your oil before you go!

It's a known fact a BOV will hurt performance on a stock car. And BTW, the car comes stock with a BPV, not a BOV.

Stupid

Try following your own advice first before putting down someone who had a legitimate question.

Exactly. A WRX or STi is just a normal car especially if its basically stock. Do you really think that any car manufacturer would produce a car where you couldn't drive more than 6 hours straight on the highway? Actually highway driving is much better for the car than stop and go traffic. Thats why cars get better mpg on the highway and better cooling as the fast moving air carries away the heat well.
