Default Ecutek question

I am looking for all the information I can get on ecutek. I have one in my car it was there whenm I bought it but I dont know if it has a map in it of anything. I hav no software for it and am looking into getting some. I have noticed that my oil pressure and oil temp never change on the readout. can anyone help me out and give me some info??

You sure you're talking about an 'ecutek' and not a utec? Ecutek is a software that tuners use to flash your ecu, but it doesn't leave any hardware in the car. A UTEC is a separate tuning module that takes over engine control at a given point and is user tunable.

Well now I am a little confused cause I have a box under my radio that says ecutek on it. It has four buttons up, down, enter and exit. and gives me all the info I need from the car. I can change boost maps and things like that but am not sure if there are different ones on there. But I thought that the software was easyecu? I not sure I am just trying to find out.

I'm guessing this is what you have. There a manual you can download for it also on the webpage.

I use it.. But not ecutek... It works only with standard ecu's
I tuned opensource
It just gives you information from the standard ecu..
Boost, temp, speed, rpm etc, and 6 or 7 data pages..
Gives intake temps,Knock correction, voltage blah blah..

I think you will find you cant use the tuner options
