Question Harness bar question!

Hey guys, I recently got into auto x and love it! One problem I have though is the sliding around in the seat. I have the "sport" seats as it isnt a tr, so its not the seats. Its more like the seatbelt can't hold me in. Anyhow, I am wondering if there are any companies out there that make a removeable harness bar. This way I could put some 3 points in and remove it easily after a track day to get it back to daily driver status. Man I wish I could afford two of these things. Any and all help appreciated Thanks!

if you want to do something easy and free then do this. pull your seat back all they way. Grab the seatbelt and pull it fast to then it locks. then pull the seat forward. Since the seatbelt is locked and your seat is forward the belt will hold you very tightly against your seat. It makes a huge difference while auto xing or tracking. Do you get what i mean?

I actually did this and it works okay. I would honestly like the support to be from my shoulders and the bottom though.

a harness will work ok...but harnesses are not meant to hold you in place like that...seat bolsters are. I would look into getting a better seat.

If you are set on a harness bar, the RPM one is nice...since it attaches behind the rear seat...so its much safer for passengers. Or you might look into Shroth harnesses that attach underneath the rear seat with no harness bar.

I agree on the seats. College budget sucks though. Scholarship money going towards the car def doesnt fly well with the 'rents. Anyhow thanks for the all suggestions and help!

I run a Sparco harness bar in car with a 4 point and completely changes the the way the seats feel when your properly harnessed in. If I wanted to remove my bar for passengers or for the off season it would only take me 15 minutes. Not a bad option.

It fits on top of the rear shelf, so it's out of the way of passengers. You'd only have to remove it if you need to use the child seat tethers.
