Haha, greetings! Been working with a coast guard recruiter for 8 months so far. Initiated contact with him May 10th, 2009. Went to MEPS for the second time today. Swearing in March 22nd, shipping out March 23rd officially as of today. Was waiting for a billet opening since all that was available 6 months ago was a Cook position. Coast guard is packed! 6 month wait list for potential applicants as of today according to my recruiter's chief.

So I guess I get to fill one of these out!

Branch : Coast Guard
Active/Reserve/Guard: Reserve
Home Station: Port Aransas, TX
Years Service: 0
Past Duty Stations: N/A
Job: Boatswains Mate, will be lateraling to Maritime Enforcement upon first available opening @ SBS in Port Aransas - Unless I end up liking BM.

Shots of the STI.

korea is typically a short tour. only 1 year. so they prevent family and most of your goods from following you. but i heard they gonna change that within a year or two
