I want to know if you think we need another moderator, perhaps someone who pays more attention to the newer generation Legacies.
If you have someone in mind, whom you feel would be a valuable addition to the i-club moderators, please post who and why. (try not to vote for yourself )Dave

There was a time that I *really* wanted to moderate this forum... but that was about a year ago.
It would probably not hurt to have another mod, but I am unsure as to who it would be. Are you getting sick of the job? ![]() |

Nope, i like it, but i'm not "into" the newer models as much as some people are, Patrick Olsen for example.
I think that we all benefit from experienced owners, especially those who are active motorsports participants and hardcore DIY'ers. To that end, i'd be willing to propose such a move to the "big guys" and see if they agree. |

i 2nd that motion.
well personally i'd nominate these 3: jacobhorn, GTBGUY (Jack)and gtguy (Kevin). but since we can't have a vendor as a mod GTBGUY is out of the question . as for gtguy, hes no longer with us GT fans but still occasionally pops up every now and then . so that leaves jacob as the choice for a mod. ![]() |

Hey DLC.
It seems the Legacy forum has grown a little in the last few months. I wouldn't have anything against another moderator in this already "very civilized" forum. We need to prepare for when the B4 is released in america and all the BMW/Audi converts come over here and start running their mouths. If there is another spot open let it be known that I would love the position. I have a lot of free time in front of my PC at work and would be able to closely watch whats going on here in the Legacy Forum. Thanks Brad Last edited by MY99 2.5GT; 01-10-2002 at 09:23 AM. |

You're doing a fine job! Good enough that if you think the board could use another moderator, I'm willing to take your word for it.
As an owner of an '00 Legacy I do notice the tendency towards the '99 and older, but there are a lot of reasons for that besides the moderator -- such as parts availability and the fact that a lot of mods are done to used cars rather than new, by the second or third owner rather than the first -- and, I have to admit, the older cars are pretty darn good looking As the market for parts for newer models grows, I suspect the traffic on the list will change. Thanks for all the hard work. Cheers, -wdb |

VOLTIS5 - thanks for the nomination
anyways, just for everyone's info. Under this user name, I am just like everyone else - a enthusiast. Just like "superman" the vendor side only comes to play under the name of iON Performance. I'm sure alot of people may think I have a bias, but I can assure those when I'm under my personal username that there won't be. In anycase, other than myself, I think gtguy (Kevin) as well as Pat Olsen would be 2 other good choices. |

Now I'm blushing. Thanks, guys. I've always been a Legacy guy at heart, even though I have temporarily defected for the Impreza camp. And frankly, given the overall tone of this forum, moderating it would be a piece of cake.
![]() I'm sure they PTBs (powers that be) will make the right call. Pat would indeed be a great choice. Too bad David Hillman (hillman) doesn't spend more time here, or he'd be another good'un, who campaigns his black GT wagon in auto-x events. Kevin |

First I'd like to say DLC, you are doing an excellent job. Youve always patiently responded to all my questions via PM(even the dumb ones.) So thanks. As far as another mod, I think it would be a fine idea because I agree that this forum is gonna be growing. There are some fine nominations above - but I would like to put another nod for Patrick Olsen. He would bring a lot mechanical and racing experience with him.

To me the Legacy forum seems to be less rambunctious then many other forums, and for now DLC is doing a fine job moderating it as is.
Although as mentioned, I can see that in the nearer future we will need more than one mod when/if the B4 or turbo Legacy returns to the US. It would also be nice for the mod to be nicely aquainted with the newer Legacy's, that also tracks it. Model years aside, I would put my vote in for Pat , Jacobhorn, gt & GTB guys |

I was going to vote for myself, but then I saw all these great non-self-serving posts in the thread and ...
Damn. I'm still voting for myself. It's not like I don't have enough time on my hands. My USMB moderator duties take up about 30 seconds a month. |

Yeah, as I seen this section grow, I noticed certain people have been really helpful, and knows a lot. I personally thing GTGUY would be a great moderator. I mean, he knows his Sheeeit.
![]() But since he's almost like a pseudo-vendor.... My next guy would be Jacob. And another cool thing is, he lives near me, so I can get the scoop and dirt about all of you guys/gals Rich |

I don't see any problem with GTBGUY being a vendor. It's not like he's out to dispense false information and rip us off.
. Plus he knows ALOT about Legacys.my vote goes to him. -S |

Thanks Kevin. As noted, I only occasionally read this Forum; in fact, I almost skipped this thread entirely.
I think that effectively removes me from consideration, plus I don't autocross the Legacy anymore and have kept it bone stock except for an air filter and tires. I don't think this Forum wants to be associated with anyone who drives a bone-stock wagon and likes it. <g> |

Hey DLC I think you do great as a moderator.
BTW did you ever get those old Legacy brochures I mailed you (1st Gen) ? Anyhow, maybe we could get Jamie in as an honorary moderator, if she hasn't forgotten her Legacy days by now... |

dlc, i think it's your call as to whether or not we need another moderator right now. this forum is pretty tame right now, but that may change as the (re)introduction of the turbo legacy gets nearer.
imo, a couple of things to look for in another mod: -knowledgable and open-minded about legacys, parts, and modifications, both performance and style related -not a vendor (sorry, nothing personal against anyone. it's just to avoid any potential conflict of interest.) -on the board a lot -not afraid to lay the smackdown ![]() |
