Default Solo Nationals Warmup and Test-n-Tune - Sept. 7 at SGMP (Ga.)

http://sccaforums.com/forums/thread/261520.aspx

Quote:
Hey everyone!

On Friday, September 7, I am renting the large parking lot at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Valdosta, GA. The goal is to have a private test session for Nationals-attending drivers only limited to about 15 cars. If there are not enough Nationals-attending drivers to fill the ~15 spots, I will open it to non-Nationals drivers. So, email me either way.

Price (based on 15 cars) is $75 per car (max 2 drivers), and $30 for each additional driver over 2 in one car. Timing will be setup up along with at least one large Nationals style course (possible last year's National Championships East course if size permits), and one mini course (non-timed) if space allows for people who want to evaluate some changes with their own stopwatch.

This site is the same location as the SCCA National Tour and has pavement identical to Heartland Park. So, if you want to practice and tune on what you can expect at the National Championships, this is the day! The low amount of cars admitted will ensure tons of runs in a relaxed atmosphere. Tentative schedule will be to open at 7am, with first runs off at 9am, and registration basically staying open all day. So, if you decide you can't get there until 12 or 1pm, that's fine, we'll accommodate you. No worries!

I need to know by Monday, Sept. 3rd, if you'd like to attend. This site is not cheap, so prepayment is recommended to hold your spot. Either a check can be sent or Paypal works as well. See y'all soon!

Thanks!

Is it really "just like HPT"? Was it layed at the same time using the same aggregate? Then skarrified? If not, it's a pointless test...

I truely hate to be rude, but this is just a jackass statement.
Do you honestly think he meant "exactly"?

Its most certainly the most like HPT you're going to get around here and a very worthy test site for HPT setup. I guess you'd prefer to just not test at all and show up at HPT and slip slide your way to DFL....

I was actually serious. I would love to have a site near me that is "identical" to HPT. I was only curious how close it really was and stressed how unique HPT really is. I'm sorry you read it the wrong way, though I can see how that could easily be done.

BTW, how much does your Civic REALLY weigh?

Well....the Turbo Diesel added quite a bit of weight, so I think its around 3000lbs

That's OK, unless you're north of three bills, you+your car < me+my car. I should propose a rule change requiring all the 89 Si's in STS to carry a passenger so that they'll weigh as much as me!

Nate - looking forward to being the lightweight in a class next year...
