Default Anyone take thier ride off-road?

I was wondering if anyone out there is into taking thier Subaru off-road.
Not just down dirt roads but trying to get it tweaked out on rough trails.

I've been taking my old GL out on some two tracks and trails around Mt. Hood and seen a couple scoobies with lift kits and such, but did not get a chance to talk to them.

So just wondering if anyone here is into that as I'd like to find peeps to go smash my rocker panels with.

If not then maybe I'll see ya at the RallyCross in Hillsboro next week.

Yeah.
I bought mine to be a RallyCross beater.
I live up in the mountains so it didn't take long for me to adjust the suspension up and take it down some trails....now I'm hooked.

http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/ is where a lot of us talk. See my second car in my profile. Great cars for wheeling, and dirt cheap.

I've already taken mine up some very sketch logging roads when I was up at lake chelan a few months back... boy that was fun hitting a monster rock and thinking my wheel had bent.... lucky me, no such bad luck

I definitely plan to rally my 2.5 as soon as I've got my suspension how I want it

Although I do own a lifted Brat these days, I don't offroad it, it's too pretty.

Thats a very nice looking Brat.

My GL is lifted only as far as the stock adjusters will take it. But it's still got enough clearance to get over some good terrain if I take the right line.
And I removed the front sway bar. Suprisingly it seems to handle better when I take it to RallyCrosses.

I need to dig up the old pics of when I (well my ex, I was in the passenger seat) got my Baja stuck in the mud... Quite amusing.

I was wondering though, are there local Subie get togethers around here? I've been back in WA for close to a year now, and am seriously missing my Atlanta Subie enthusiast buddies... We used to have caravans and meets all the time, and though I was the only Baja in attendance they were quite accomodating, hehe.

I stopped by a dealership ealier today to pick up a miscellaneous part and they gave me a copy of Subie Sport magazine and referred me here to look for a local club.

Edit: Here being Kirkland/Redmond-ish. I live out in the sticks past Duvall, but work here in the 'city'.

Get ahold of some forest road maps from a forest service office.
Then just explore. Some will be nasty, some will be smooth.

And next year the conditions will change.....kinda how it goes.

I've been down some that were smooth last year when I drove my Focus down them.
This year my GL has had countless sheetmetal wounds from the same roads.

I beat the living hell out of my BE (2000 Sedan). I've taken my BK out, but like old school's Brat, it's too pretty. I just got a Loyale, once I get wheels/tires/hubs/suspension I'll be taking it out, though. Honestly, I really should get a pick up truck...

Altho I have been tempted to put the RallyX tires on my 89 RX and tear up to Evans Crk before winter hits
Taken the Brat up in that area, but never the rough stuff.
My XT's/SVX?
Aint no way they are going off road

After 2 weeks in Banff/Jasper Canada we stopped to see friends on the way home and drove through an area the locals call Diarrhea Flats

Probably one of the most dusty backroads I have ever been on
