Interesting...quad pipes, STI interior, but it's missing the wide fenders and big wing.

it does seem to have the right gadgets. SI Drive, 6 speed tranny. hmm.....doesn't look like it has any flares at all. looks like a WRX with STI powertrain.

maybe its the base model STI? I remember reading somewhere that the 08 STI will have a few trim (Base model etc) maybe this is it.

It even has the single rear foglamp as seen in this:

I call Photochop on the shifter knob, sti emblem, and the steering wheels (note the fuzzy line around each item.)

The fenders look like;

a) bad home brewed fender rolls
b) like someone put on the wrong offset wheels and bottomed out on the inner fender (looks like some weird crease in the rear fender)

But hey, I could be totally wrong and this could just be a big disappointment. But really, I'm sure Subaru has something much more exciting for us.

I think we can be certain of two things,

1) This is not a photoshoped picture (except for the pixilated areas).
2) The exterior was changed for testing.

Upon further inspection, i change my vote to "test mule" for the STI, SI-Drive, DSG, cappuccino grande, extravaganza, fancy pants, drivetrain.

Shifter trim and steering wheel look nice. I hope the exterior will be far more agressive in production form.

It looks like a STi with a test body to me. The flares look funny. They look like they were bent out ward with a hammer or something. They are crinkled out (look at the front flare especially) to accomodate what looks like bigger and wider wheels.

Its 100% an STI. Quad exhaust, black brembos, wider tires, wider flare (you can see they flared them a little), and the interior is different.

Definitely a mule body tho

The tail lights are very poor, but the rest of it isn't bad. Put 320 horses in that and you'd have an awesome sleeper and there's nothing better than a sleeper.

Read the thread, look at the pics.

STI drivetrain in a WRX body.

It's just another test mule.

Real question is, where do those mules end up at? Would be pretty cool to add to my collection (especially since I'm down to 3 Subies now, I have never been this low!)
