Default THE SHOP STI 11.58@120.77 22psi

Got to the track late today with the silver 07 STI from "the shop". Car belongs to Jimmy the owner..... any who... I was only going to be allowed 1 pass according to the tech guy so I set the car to the race gas tune... Didn't want to do this being that I haven't driven a car down the track in a while and I certainly haven't driven this car before.... Dumped in the c16 and went to the lanes... That dude tells me I will get 2-3 passes so I turned the boost back to the Pump map 22psi and settings.. Figured the c-16 would hurt me a bit but not much.. ..

60ft 1.63
330 4.87
1/8 7.48
MPH 94.8
1000 9.711
1/4 11.581
MPH 120.77

UR 35r .82AR
ECUTEK + UTEC
Perrin Rails
Pe850
APS FMIC BLACK
APS Cat-Back
Cosworth Heads
Built 2.5 OEM sleeves

I know I messed up with the race gas.. The car was sputtering a bit because she was a tad rich... I'm taking it back on Friday.. This time on Race Gas and a straight UTEC tune.. That and a little more seat time or ANY seat time and I will get the 60fts into the 1.5X range and hopefully be a few tenths faster.

BTW.. A few EVOS took a beating on the way home and one at the track..
The guys did an AWESOME job putting this car together, everything looks like it came in the car.

Very nice driving.. This car running street slicks/slicks or anything?? Launch control?? Cuz normally i dont see 60' this low with this much power and regular street tires, either they light up a bit too much or bog a tiny bit, it's hard to get it just right with a bigger turbo.. Awesome times for pump gas, cant wait to see what the race gas setting puts down..

Nice job junior. Question:

What RPM did you set the LC to? Did you use the FFS?

Why did the engine go from a semi closed 2.5 to a open deck 2.5L? I know you said the open deck was built but isn't that a step back to build the open deck?

I've seen multiple 1.5 60FT with street tires.

Hey hey, good stuff junior. Bringing the car to the track was basicaly a last minute thing. 10 mins before junior left to take it to the track, we found a leak at the oil pan and had to fix it before sending it down the 1320 and that held us up greatly. I am suprised junior you even got 1 pass in, i heard you got there a little after 9? Anyway, good test run jr wish i was there to see it. Cant wait to see what it does on the 28psi map .

The motor is still the semi closed block, just has pistons and rods in it, with a cosworth oil pump. Nothing crazy.

It spun a bit because of the OEM suspension, car was on BFG drag radials...... when I shifted 1-2 and 2-3 it died a bit.I know I can knock a few tenths off the car the way it sits..

LC was at 56, the FFS didnt work out very well because of the ECUTEK and the lovely 07 DBW.. The car would still bog.. On the 2nd pass I spend 6.2 seconds trying to get the car out of 2nd gear while it bucked... Man was that violent..
