Default 2.5 Litre compared to 2.0 Litre

Hi all, I have a JDM STi S202. It comes with the 2.0. Does anyone have any idea how much hp gain I would get if I put in a 2.5 with the same VF34? I have an Autronic EMS, 820cc injectors, 255lph fuel pump, aps 70mm cai, aps 525 fmic, Cusco 3" Stainless Steel Catless DP, DC Sports Uppipe, and that's about it. We estimate the car is pushing about 310 - 320whp on race gas.

Thanks

I would actually venture to say that you wouldn't gain hp but only torque...but that really depends at what point it shifts your torque curve.

I'd say you may actually lose top end. The JDM motor is good to 8500rpm. You'll never turn a 2.5 that kind of rpm (consistently) without some serious mods to crank/rods/pistons. Secondly, I wonder if the VF34 will push enough air for the extra displacement.

Hi, I guess I will get the 2.5 when it is time to put on the GT35. I have a feeling the FMIC seems to be a bit too big for the VF34.

Im going from V7 2ltr to built EJ257.

The torque is massive on the 2.5 compared to the 2ltr

I went from 2.0 to 2.5 in my wagon. Instead of keeping the revs up in corners a 2.5 with fpgreen pulls thru like a Bull at lower rpm's.
Torque is fun but you will need a vf 22 to make it work.

Mine will have an FP Green with 3" inlet 8cm hotside on it.

Whats the maximum bhp/torque available from this turbo with the use of 98ron fuel?

keep the 2.0 unless u can get the 2.5 to rev as high. thats my opinion, but it really comes down to driving style, future modifications, and personal preference.
