Default Question about how much MT oil to add to my 04 FXT

It appears the oil level of my 2004 Forester XT is just above the L/circle on the dipstick. The manual says to add GL-5 oil, but how much would bring it up to the F/circle on the dipstick?
Thanks.

usually the difference from low to high on the dipstick is less than a quart (for engine oil, anyway - can't imagine it's that different for the transmission)

How does this level get low...? It's a sealed system, right?

Also, did you have any symptoms that led you to to the tranny, stockdad?

I always had so much trouble reading the fluid level on the 5MT dipstick. I just changed the tranny fluid this weekend, and filling it, it was near impossible to tell where the fluid was on the line, other than a dollop of oil collecting at the bottom of the stick.

I had the same issue... I ended up filling up a quart, and then pumping out a quart...
