Default Andrewtech / TurboXS Strikes Again! 05 STi - 517 WHP T3/T04S

First, a little background on this car. I purchased it in January 2007. The day after I picked it up, the car developed and oiling issue, and long story short, the engine blew. While it is neither here nor there, I believe the previous owner knew it was coming, and that's one of the reasons he got rid of it.

I then sent the car to Andrewtech to be repaired and built. Mods are as follows:

2005 Aspen White STi
Weisco Coated Pistons
Eagles Rods
ARP Head Studs
Calico Coated Engine Bearings
Ultimate Racing T3/T04S Turbo (.82 a/r)
Ultimate Racing 1000cc Top-Feed Injectors
Ultimate Racing Fuel Rails
Dual In-Tank Whine-bro 255 LPH Fuel Pumps
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Ultimate Racing 3" Down Pipe
Ultimate Racing Up Pipe
TiAL 44mm Wastegate w/ Dump Tube
Perrin Semi-Equal Length Header (wrapped)
Invidia Turbo-Back Exhaust
Ultimate Racing Front-Mount Intercooler
Ultimate Racing Polished Intercooler Piping
TiAL Blow-Off Valve
Ultimate Racing Cold-Air Intake w/ MAF Housing
TurboXS DTEC 4 bar Pressure Sensor
TurboXS UTEC w/ Map Switch
TurboXS Manual Boost Controller
Exedy Twin-Plate Clutch
Kartboy Shifter Bushings
Kartboy Short-Shifter
Skunk2 Lowering Springs
Cusco Rear Stabilizer Bar
Cusco H Brace
Function7 Pitch Stop
2006 STi Rear Diffuser
STRI Boost, EGT, Fuel Press, Oil Press gauges
Viper Alarm / Remote Start
Hella Supertone Horns

The car put down 431WHP / 388WTQ on pump gas, on race gas, it did a strong 517WHP / 472WTQ. In my opinion, there's a little more in the car. The race gas tune was done with over 1/4 tank of 93 and only about 4 gallons of C16.

Special thanks to Andrew, Edwin, Jake, and all the rest of the guys at Andrewtech, and Jermaine @ TurboXS for staying up through the early morning hours tuning my car.

Well, I get HORRIBLE gas mileage, but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the Ecutek flash. I need to get my ecu flashed back to stock.

I didn't install them, so I don't know how the install was, sorry.

I can't wait to get my car back from Andrewtech.....I hope to be close to where you're at with the GT30R .82 on built motor. Are you going to take it to the track once it is broken in?

It's already broken in, and it's going to the track this Friday. I just need to find some C16 before then!!! Anyone around Morgantown WV / Pittsburgh know of anywhere?

REALLY bad. Just over 150 miles a tank right now. I'm almost positive it's the EcuTEK flash. It needs to go.

and I thought I was bad eeking out 250 miles to a tank spending most of that on the highway

but then again, I can blame my short 6th gear on my JDM 6MT for that

EDIT: I see you are running some really large injectors there, and from what i have been told, they are the culprit of some pretty nasty gas milage in our cars even when tuned to run the proper AF ratios and the like...shame, since they are needed too for the higher power setups...

I had ZERO counts of knock on any of my maps. Like I said, the dyno was overheating and some readings were off. You can ask Jermaine if you like - he tuned it.

No knock, the dip was from a small rich spot in the map. It started very slightly in the pump gas tune and by the time we got to the Race gas tune it got slightly worse. Dyno overheated on the 2nd or 3rd Race gas pull before I could clean it up. As you can see the car made a max of 520whp ish as the dyno over heated. We took the car out for the road tune to clean up the map.

Car is awesome no knock in sight.

Jermaine~
