Default Turbo XS and Andrewtech do it again!!

Edit- Time Slip:
1.963 60 ft
5.114 330ft
7.695 1/8
96.65 mph
9.824 1000ft
11.619 1/4
126.27 mph

This was full weight (wagon remember) with me driving (I weigh 250). At the top of 4th we were getting misfires and based on how bad they felt, I firmly believe the car lost 3-4 mph EASY. The misfires are do to the poor factory grounds... and mikaust took it out after this pass and the clutch let go (ACT 6 puck).

Needless to say... were gonna fix the grounds, get a new clutch in... and get the 60 foot down to 1.6 or so. Can you say 10s @ 130+?

This shows 543 whp... and the noise was too much for the camera mic... sorry about that

The car is a beast... the power band is recockulous!!

Congrats Michael... this has been a long time coming... looks like I need to up my game.... again.

Just want to say thanks big time to everyone at AndrewTech and Turboxs. This car has been in the works for a year and a half. First the Magnus engine built for Turboxs crapped out big time. So AndrewTech built a new 2.5 shortblock and JB automotive redid the Magnus heads because most of the buckets were wrong (Big thanks to Ron at Axis for his help with that) So once again a big thanks to Mark, Jermaine,Nathan and Brandon at Turboxs and Andrew,Dan,Edwin and the rest of the Andrewtech crew. Jermaines tune is smooth and powerful as always. Without the help of the fore mentioned I could not have realised this incredible car.

Oh yeah Dug-e-fresh helped too................. he is the best.

This car was a pure monster... I think it needs wheelie bars. Seriously!

Michael... It was a long time coming and I am glad we could all put together a street car you can have fun with.

It was a pleasure!

mikaust's dyno plot:

Race gas vs pump gas

It should be noted that this car is now the record holder for Turbo XS's dyno... and it has probably THEE best power band they have ever tuned for.

horserpower comparison:

torque comparison (ignore the banner):

Yes it's painfully obvious that the 2.5 with a 30R is a REAL nice choice. Not to mention, my little 2.0 with a 35R sends power to the ground with longer gears.... so at ANY given speed, mikaust's set-up is at a higher rpm than mine... doesn't make for too much fun for me from a roll,

Mikaust's set-up is sooooo freaking smooth it almost doesn't seem fast. Power delivery is more like a boring V8 than a turbo'ed 4 cylinder... but speed builds SEDUCTIVELY fast... luckily this thing has one helluva suspension, tire and brake set-up... it needs every bit of it.

Here is some fun.... same graphs above, but with a 1000 rpm shift of the EJ207 power band... kinda neat:

It still needs a clutch... and I need to still sort out my grounds, fix my boost leak, switch back to the stock intake manifold. The plan is to fix the first 2, dyno with the manifold I have and then dyno with a stock manifold. That should be fun.

Back to mikaust's wagon... it should be noted that it made this power on a very HOT and HUMID day... shop temperature was over 100 degrees!!!

def is right about the powerband of the 2.5 versus 2.0. His car while accelerating is frickin violent, where my cars powerband seems to be smoother as the revs build. I would like to have another 1000 rpms like the ej207 that for sure. Jermaine was having trouble on the top rpm range after 7000 because of a dirty signal, so we need to shield and check the wiring.

Can you imagine after looking at the graphs what defs car would be like with a gt30r?.............we might find out.

no. the only thing we MIGHT find out is what a 35R does with a 2.2 or a 2.5, with the rest of my set-up I WILL not run a 30R. Dead set against it.

MAF is used for idle and cruising/light load... speed density/MAP for full throttle/high load. The UTEC has been doing this for a while now....

Now I just gotta get mikaust to try my 35R

Perhaps I'd be willing to try the 30R if he'd try the 35R
