Default v5 swap done but won't idle right

i just completed my v5 swap into an 95 impreza land the engine runs great except for at idle. the only mod is a snorkus delete after it has warmed up the idle searches between 400 and 1000 rpm. to try and fix the problem we preasure tested the intake and found no leaks. we also redid the grounds. that helped some but still didnt fix it. the only thing we think it coild be is the idle controler. any thoughts what it could be?

Maybe the wiring to the idle control valve??

or

Have U already tried cleaning the IACV itself
Unscrew it from the car, open it up and use brake-cleaner/degreaser to clean it.

or

The Idle air controller itself has slotted holes, so there is some adjustment possible there, start the car, loosen the 2 bolts, and the valve assembly can be turned a bit (2 or 3 mm)
Just turn it untill it idles correctly.

Make sure all your hose clamps are tight too, so there aren't any leaks.

That would be a coincidence, really.
Nothing a dyno does isn, y done while just driving it spirited on the road or at the track.
