that sheet isnt making me feel any better about my gt49 only pulling 330 on the same dyno. if the catless downpipe doesnt wake it up i might look into that or a 20g. btw, anyone know how much tgv's are worth? 10 hp at the wheels?

That's some crazy spool. Torque peaks about the same place with a VF39! Was this pull done in 4th? When does it actually hit 20psi in 4th gear?

With just glance at the graph and the numbers I wasn't all that impressed.
But after looking at it a bit more, I see some real value to this turbo.
It performs very closely to how I would expect a TD06H20G to perform. However, it looks to be quicker to spool, which I did not expect.
Most TD06H20Gs hit peak torque around 4,000 RPMs or so on 2.5 liters (especially if they have the 8cm housing), and hit peak whp between 6,250-6,500 RPMs. Yet the Helix is hitting peak torque before 3,750 and whp before 5,500 and is not dropping all that much by the end of the run.
Add to this an advertised price $200+ cheaper than a 20G and this makes this turbo worth considering.

its a 46 lb compressor

"HELIX RR500 TURBOCHARGER
The Helix RR500 is a bolt-on charger developed for the 2002+ WRX / STI. It employs the use of a modified Mitsubishi TD06 turbine wheel, 46lbs compressor wheel enclosed in an advanced journal bearing / water-cooled housing. The turbine housing is a "race-spec" 8cm housing and a highly efficient compressor housing."

Jorge, this tune looks excellent nice job

Im hearing people comparing this turbo to a 20g in this thread, have you ever tuned one on a 2.0l you think the results would be far off from a standard td06-20g or is this already a bad choice for a 2.0l because of the big hotside of this turbo (td06 8cm etc.)?

Which makes it that much more surprising that it would spool faster than a standard TD06 8cm 20G. I would have expected it to spool slower and have slightly higher output than the 20G. Instead, the power output is about right on the mark of the 20G but with quicker spool. There could be other factors contributing to the speedy spool (good combination of parts, aggressive tune, healthy engine, etc.), but it still goes against what I would expect. Perhaps someone with more information or better insight can chime in here.
