Default Toronto

Hi everyone! I've never been to Toronto, but my girlfriend and I are planning a trip for Columbus Day weekend (Oct 12-15).

What will the weather be like during that weekend? Will the leaves be changing colors? Snow? Will I be okay on Sport summer tires? My girlfriend and I are considering driving because Niagara Falls and tons of other great sites are on the way. However, I'm hesitant to bring the swapped wagon on the trip from NYC.

Please provide any advice or feedback. Thanks!

Benny

usually it shouldn't have any snow at all... it's still too early to have snow, but these days... the weather is weird, so... I don't even know what to tell you...

temp is around autumn style, a bit cold, but not freezin yet!

Great! The weather sounds perfect for our trip. Will the leaves be changing colors around the weekend of Oct 13th? If we decide to drive, we want a nice scenic view to Toronto. Thanks!

You'll have no problems with summer tires in October. Recently, we haven't been getting any snow until late December anyway.

Expect temperatures to be cool while you're here. I'd say in the 50's. We should definitely have some autumn colors by then.

If you want leaves, go through Aderondack then Thousand Islands into Canada. The scene is way better than the stupid I90!! If you really want to go to the falls, you can come back through Buffalo.

The leaves are starting to turn now. By the 12-15th they should be perfect.

If you're going through Niagara Falls, stop and see the falls etc., and then drive north along the Niagara Parkway to Niagara-on-the-Lake. Another area to see colours is to drive along Guelph Line from the (Queen Elizabeth Way) QEW to the Hwy.401.

Be careful around the area. the new Bill passed into legislation will cause serious trouble for you if your caught speeding, or stunt driving.
I.E $2,000 Minimum fine, and 7day license/vehicle impoundment.

other than that, stay off the 401 if your looking for a scenic route! this time of year is beautiful, Espcially since no snow is in the forecast!!!

Thanks again for the suggestions. However, the trip to Toronto is canceled because I canceled the relationship with the women and the car is up for sale.
