Default FS: Complete CarPC in subaru-specific mount Audio/Video/GPS/Lan

The lease is up on my Impreza so its time to part with my car PC.

I peiced this together only a few months ago using the nicest stuff out at the moment.

Jetway 1.5G C7 board with processor.
1gig of DDR2 PC4200 ram
120gig 7200rpm laptop hard drive
USB Wireless Network Card
Morex3688 Case
160w M2-ATX DC-DC PSU
Liliput 7in Touchscreen LCD
Mp3car.com Subaru Double Din LCD Bracket.

This is a fully assembled system. The case is very small and mine actually sits under my drivers seat but you can mount anywhere. All the computer itself needs is a power wire ran from the battery and to be grounded somewhere. Plug in the USB for the touchscreen and the vga to the monitor. Monitor is fully set up to auto power on and recieves power via a molex connector attached to the motherboard. So theres nothings to turn on, nothing to touch. Put a key into the ignition and as soon as you pass Accesory the pc boots up , takes about 10 seconds. Powering down is the same , just take the key out of the ignition and the built in shut down controller takes care of the rest.

I actually bought the oem subaru gauge pod that sits where the clock is and put my headunit in there, this way I still get to use CD's without having to purchase a cd drive. And I just do audio in , into it. Or you can just run it straight into an amp.

PC is running one of the newer versions of RoadRunner. Plays every single video format known to man. I have loads of older 80's and 90's videos that are high-quality dvd rips in .vob format and it plays them without any hassle, no skipping, perfectly smooth. Preloaded with GPS Software and a mapping of the whole US. Buyer will have to purchase a USB GPS Reciever since I never got around to it, the best one out is 50 bucks.

So thats basically it.

I want 800 even for the whole thing, either shipped or installed if you are local to the Philadelphia, PA area, 850 if you plan to use a headunit and want my oem gauge pod, I think they retail for about 65 ish new. Just the screen with the bracket and all the wiring and case removal will cost you almost 500 bucks at www.mp3car.com and then you still need a computer.

Oh lastly buyer has a choice of either keeping my whole complete video library or me just clearing out the drive. I have probably close to a 1000 music videos, all high quality , a lot of them being 50-100mb divx files and 250mb full quality .vob dvd rips. Everything from the 70's , 80's , 90's and now from techno, punk rock , alternative, rap and hip hop. Hell people sell music video dvd's on ebay for 10 bucks a pop and the quality sucks and theres less than 50 videos on each disk. Buyer gets all of it for free , a collection that took me probably 5 years+ to compile.

Ayway here are some pictures of it in action. I just took these and its light out so they kind of suck, will take good pictures tonight. Can even make a video of the whole thing in action for serious buyers.

Why buy a flip out dvd when this is the same price but sits inside your dash, is 7 inches, and has 120gigs of space, you dont have to burn anything, you have GPS and infinite upgradeability.

Thanks,

Ark

$800 or $850 with the oem gauge pod to shove a headunit into.

Not intrested in any trades since I will no longer have a Subaru. Unless you have 2nd gen rx7 fc3s parts.

The PC booting up , Subaru loading screen FTW

You can look through songs on the left and scroll through genre's on the right.

OMG! Van halen.

Maybe some AC DC live?

Or some bitches and beats by Benny Bannassi

IGuidance GPS with the whole United States and Canada loaded on. Like 10 gigs of just maps.

Still have 20 free gigs to go too.

Case opened and how it looks inside.

Actual size of the case, as you can see its damn small and thus the reason I chose to leave it under my drivers seat.

Sale has fallen through. Back on the market and ready to be bought. If paying by paypal please include the 3% paypal fee for a total of $824.00 shipped for the whole unit. Or $875.50 shipped for the carpc and the gauge pod. If send a money order then its obviously 800 shipped for the car pc and 850 shipped for the carpc and gauge pod. Please pm for interest and paypal adress to send the monies too. Also send me your phone number when doing so that I can go into detail about the whole system, etc.

Thanks,

Ark
