They are wonderful. The light output is more than I expected. I am very very pleased. I found the install to be simple. You only have to splice four wires. The blinker to blinker and the city lights to the running lights. I am hooking up the sidemarkers tommorrow.

HIHO:
Congrats! Your new lights look great! Glad to hear that you are more than happy with their output. Could you please do me a favor and take a pic of your grill, so I can see what it looks like close up? I am getting my grill customized next week and I am still gathering ideas. Your grill looks great. Did you receive 2 flat plastic pieces with your Morettes? I am trying to figure out how to use the pieces that came with my Morettes. Thanks! Jacob jacobjhorn@hotmail.com |

Thanks for all the props. Volt I am in the prosses of getting some Hella driving lights I just haven't mide up my mind. Plus I am waiting to sell my factory fogs.

I guess it is too late to ask for photo to compare the light output (against wall) of stock and morrette
![]() Anyway, looking good, with or without painting! Hey HIHO, have you think of making a front brake cooling duct using the fog light openings? or cold air intake using the passenger side fog light openings? Should I start a new thread with this? Ernest |

got the morettes in tonight, with the help of white knight. actually, he did all the real work with electricity and stuff while i stood around and watched.
thanks again, i owe you dinner.1. remove grille 2. remove 3 bolts/side and pull old headlights straight out (duh) 3. splice in city lights and turn signals. our side markers serve a dual purpose and have 3 wires running to the connector. red and black go to the city lights and white/green and black go to the turn signals. yes, the black goes to both bulbs, but better double-check the colors are right. 4. if you have a my95-97 legacy, plug h4 plug into h4 socket. otherwise, figure out which 3 wires from the 9007 match up to the h4 plug provided by morette. 5. plug in other stuff (headlight to headlight, headlight to ground, and headlight to power) 6. turn on lights and hope white knight wired it all correctly. ![]() the hardest part (for us) was figuring out which wires to use for the city lights and turn signals. it was cake after that. side markers and wiring will go in some other time. i've got some pics of the install, but have to get new batteries for the digicam before uploading. now does anyone know how to aim these things? i'm pointed at the sky and couldn't find the bolt mentioned in the instructions. |

I haven't aimed mine. They are pretty much where they need to be. I can see the cut off line at night and it appears to be right. I haven't had any complaints so far.

Hey legaliztik2001:
How did you get clear corners on the front of your Legacy? Did you change the whole headlight? p.s. know of any good places to buy parts and get service for Subaru's in the Toronto area? Chris. |

As for services in the GTA ... it really depends what are planning to do ... most of the Subaru dealerships in the GTA are not well versed in aftermarket modifications and also many simply choose not to ... check out toronto-subaru-club.com for information regarding all your needs ... it is the club i am a member of wholly specializing in Subaru enthusiasm ... don't hesitate to ask me any questions if you have Legacy-specific inquires. Just curious if this conversion is street legal? I really don't know much of the Morrete conversion itself, basically because after doing some research of the possibility of changing my headlights over to HID, I found it not practical. For a good education goto
http://www.xenonlights.org/http://www.xenonlights.org/ I found alot of information that generally isn't considered when reading these posts of improving headlight performance. This link is from a company that did conversions but got out of the buisness because of the problems they encountered thrying to do the conversion properly. If you read through the entire FAQ's it will probably make you think twice of putting in some of these so-called HID replacements, especially just bulb replacements. My 2cents.. Kickerz |

OK I am interested in the Grille.
I was planning on doing something like this but I could forsee it not coming out as clean as your cars look. So how did you do it? Does anyone have a photo journal of the whole process? I was originally planning to get the Symms grille couldn't bring myself to shell out that kind of money for something that won't help the car handle or perform better. Thanks Brad |

kickerz- Technically no the Morrets are not US legal. The reason they are not is because there is no front running lights; they only have a blinker. But you can make them legal by adding sidemarkers to your car. The morrets have a european form of running lights called "city lights" but they are only visible form the front of the car. For more info on E-code lighting check .HERE You are coorect in the HID upgrades. The reflectors on stock headlights are not made for HIDs so the light output is not what it should be.
